Founded in 1971 thanks to the hard work of Mr Neville Keighley and Mr Henry Cosgrove, the first AGM decided that the new club should be called Rimington FC and their colours should be orange and black, colours which the team still proudly wear to this day.
Rimington have had a lot of success over the years, League champions nine times including six wins in a row, as well as being runners-up on four more occasions. There’s also been twenty two Cup wins to celebrate including one played at Elland Road, home of Premier League Leeds United AFC.
Rimington currently play in the East Lancs Football League Premier Division.
Founded in 2023 by two goalkeepers Graeme Kershaw and Stuart Cross, the East Lancashire Goalkeeping Academy, based in Burnley, now has five top class goalkeeping coaches with bags of experience in the professional (Football League) and non-league football scene.
These five coaches offer outstanding training to local children aged 6 to 16, with an emphasis on the children having the maximum fun possible whilst learning and developing goalkeeping skills. Sessions are held weekly on Monday evenings, as well as full day sessions throughout school holidays.
The Academy also has it’s own online shop which can be found on its website (see link below) where a range of goalkeeping apparel and equipment can be found.
Established in 2019, RRFS are an indie producer of music inspired football shirts ideal for the street or the pitch. By combining two great passions, they create unique designs which are produced in the North West of England.
Their range of alternative wear apparel is perfect for making a statement on match days, at gigs or during a good old fashioned kickabout with friends.
Based on the A59 between Clitheroe and Skipton, the auction mart offers sales of livestock and farming equipment, as well as having a top class cafe on site for refreshments and hot/cold meals and snacks.
