The East Lancashire Goalkeeping Academy was formed in 2023 by two friends, Graeme Kershaw and Stuart Cross who between them had decades of playing and coaching experience with Football League and non-league clubs. They were joined by three more coaches, Cam, Bertie and more recently by Taylor, and between them they teach and develop the skills of local children aged between 6 and 16. They place a great emphasis on the children having FUN whilst they learn, and since forming have seen a number of their pupils go on to join top professional clubs such as Preston North End, Bolton and Burnley among others.
