In 2024 I was extremely privileged and honoured to be asked to photograph on behalf of the Gisburn Auction Mart, based between Clitheroe and skipton along the A59, where livestock and farming machinery are bought and sold. This has coincided with a number of shoots on behalf of County Fairs & Shows where livestock and farming also play a huge part.

It’s been a fantastic experience where I’ve met some amazing people from the farming community, and has somewhat opened my eyes to the highs and lows of farming life, the difficulties our farming community face and the incredible support they give each other. Everyone I’ve met has been kind, patient and willing to teach me about the livestock and their own individual views and thoughts on farming, and I can’t thank them enough for their help, their instruction, their support and their generosity. We have an amazing farming community in the UK and they deserve all the support we can give them!
